Our Mission
Founded in 2012, the Oswego Junior Woman’s Club is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting women, children, and families in the Oswego and surrounding communities through volunteer services and philanthropy.
We fulfill our mission in a number of ways. Here are some of our highlights:
- Oswego Chamber of Commerce Not-for-Profit of the Year (2016/2017, 2017/2018, 2018/2019, 2020, 2021, 2022)
- Participation in Mutual Ground Walk for Hope
- Participation in first annual Habitat for Humanity “Women Build”
- Red Carpet Gala Event (our annual fundraiser)
- Volunteer opportunities at virtually every major Oswego event
- Nearly $70,000 in scholarships to date given to local graduating seniors
- Financial support to local charities and families in need
We are part of GFWC District 11, which includes Joliet Juniorette Club, the Plainfield Junior Woman’s Club, the Plainfield Juniorette Club, the Homer Glen Junior Woman’s Club, the Homer Glen Juniorettes, and the Elgin Junior Woman’s Club.
